I know I'm really after on this, but I've just now starting to use an RSS aggregator. And man how great it is to get all the interesting stuff into my aggregator instead of browsing all those web pages.
The obvious upside it that I'm now subscribing to a lot more sites than I would earlier bother to browse. So I'm feeling much more informed now.
The downside is that I'm spending more time reading, and less time working than before. The time it took me to browse the websites just ended up in that I just didn't take the time to read the news, and so I didn't waste time on it. Now it's so tempting to open my aggregator every now and then and piss away some minutes of my time, and losing my focus. Seems I need some more dicipline..
Another great way to use the aggregator (at home at least) is to subscribe to torrent trackers and be notified of every new available download as they arrive :) (Of course I only ever download legal stuff..)
So, what is the best free aggregator out there? I've tested FeedReader and SharpReader, and they seem just the same to me, other than the detail that SharpReader could read the channel9 feed (that seems to be broken) and FeedReader could not. So, what's your favorite, and why?
